Compare with competitors

Which of your branches is dragging, or what exactly the place next door is doing better - you cannot tell by impression. Paste a few Google Maps links and see the real numbers side by side. The first row is taken as you.

How to use it

Paste between 2 and 5 Google Maps share links — several of your own locations, or you against the businesses next door. Each has to be a link to the listing itself (containing /maps/place/, or a maps.app.goo.gl short link), not a search results page.

One bad link does not spoil the rest: that row fails on its own and the others still come back. The figures are public data fetched from Google at the time you run it, not estimates.

Which columns to read

The rating column usually matters least. Everyone sits between 4.3 and 4.7, and the tenth of a point between you says very little. The distance is in the other two:

  • Review count — gaps here are usually multiples, and it drives whether a customer believes you.
  • Profile completeness — phone, website, hours, photos. All free; missing them is simply work not done.

The primary category column deserves a separate look: if the businesses above you use a different category, that is not a ranking problem. You may not be in the pool at all.

After you have read it

This tool gives no ranking prediction. Local ranking depends on distance, the exact search term, account history and much more; any tool claiming to compute "your position" is guessing. Here you get real data and read it yourself.

For how many reviews the gap actually is, use the Competitor review gap calculator. To close it, see How to ask customers for Google Reviews. For running several locations without one draining another, see How to manage Google reviews across multiple locations; the ranking work itself is in How to climb in Google Maps, step by step.

The hardest column on the table to close

Profile completeness is an afternoon’s work, and the rating creeps up over time. The review count is the only column built one review at a time.

In practice, ten happy customers, and often not one of them writes a review — not because they do not want to, but because it is a hassle, and typing it out is worse. Review Helper cuts that step to thirty seconds: the customer scans your code, ticks a few things they actually experienced, and the page turns it into a sentence in their own words. Copy, paste, posted. We do not ghost-write and we do not post for anyone — what they write, and whether to post it, stays their call. Three free reviews for every Google listing, nothing to pay up front, no card needed. No monthly fee: you pay per use.
