Business Profile audit
You cannot judge your own profile by looking at it. Paste a Google Maps share link and we ask Google what it publicly shows, then go through it item by item and tell you what to fix first.
How to use it
- Find your own business on Google Maps and open its listing.
- Tap Share and copy the link.
- Paste the link into the box above and run it.
Paste the link to the listing itself, not the address of a search results page. A correct link contains /maps/place/, or is a short link starting with maps.app.goo.gl. A wrong one simply returns nothing — grab another and try again.
The eight things it checks
Open status, rating, review count, primary category, phone, website, opening hours, photos. All of it is public — anything a visitor sees on your listing. We just lay it out in one list and give a verdict per field.
Missing fields do not cost the same: no phone and no hours cost you business directly; missing photos cost you clicks; a wrong primary category costs you being a candidate at all. Fix the ones the results put at the top first.
After you have fixed them
This tool checks eight fields, the eight that move enquiries most. To fill the profile in properly, work through the Business Profile completeness checklist — fourteen items, a day or two of work.
If a field you know you filled in has changed, your memory is not the problem: you are not the only one who can edit the listing. Who changed it and how to change it back is in Who can edit your Google listing, and why the details change on their own.
If the verdict on the primary category is "wrong", don't rush to swap it. Changing category has a cost. How to choose and when to change is in Business name and category: get these two wrong and the rest is wasted.
The one item on the audit you cannot just fill in
Phone, website, hours, photos: half an hour at a desk and they are done. The review count is the only line you cannot fill in — it has to be written by customers, one at a time.
In practice, ten happy customers, and often not one of them writes a review — not because they do not want to, but because it is a hassle, and typing it out is worse. Review Helper cuts that step to thirty seconds: the customer scans your code, ticks a few things they actually experienced, and the page turns it into a sentence in their own words. Copy, paste, posted. We do not ghost-write and we do not post for anyone — what they write, and whether to post it, stays their call. Three free reviews for every Google listing, nothing to pay up front, no card needed. No monthly fee: you pay per use.
